The New Old Space
That has been the dream for Zach and I for the last 10 years as we have operated this business. We have wanted to build a haven where creative people can thrive and do meaningful work for clients who are passionate about their own interpretation of that similar goal.
A few years ago, we purchased the Presto Cleaners building on the north end of the Shops at Roosevelt, with the intent of rehabbing the building to make a new beautiful space for Eight Seven Central.
Here are some photos of the space when we purchased the building:

Over the last few years, we have gutted most of the space, and it has changed a lot since these pictures. We plan to apply our same design approach to this building, and put the same love into turning it into a beautiful and livable haven where good things happen. While we have loved the East Village, our new location on 42nd Street in Des Moines is going to be much better suited for our needs as a company. We still are in a retail location, we feel that by scaling back on foot traffic, we will be able to spend more time working toward some pretty lofty company goals. We still feel that our space is a public space, so feel free to drop in and say hi (at a safe distance, you know).
COVID has thrown a pretty big wrench in our timeline for the buildout of the building, but we have found a ways to slowly improve the space. It still looks like an ongoing construction zone, but we are here, we are printing shirts, and we are extremely thankful for that.
We will keep posting pictures as we make progress, but thanks for coming along on the journey with us.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
